EZ Data Customer Support
If you have a question regarding CDS functionality, we recommend that you first look at the list of training movies and Fast Classes before contacting a member of our support team.
If you need to contact a member of our support team to troubleshoot an issue with CDS, there are a number of different contact options available to meet your needs. Before contacting the support team, please have the following information ready:
  • Name of the registered user.
  • Version of CDS in use – Version information can be found by selecting the Help menu then clicking on About Client Data System.
  • Are you using a network or standalone implementation of CDS?
  • A comprehensive description of the issue – what module is in use, how the issue occurred, is the issue consistent or random, and does it occur for all users (in a multi-user environment)?
  • If an error message appeared, please send us the exact text of the error message (a screen shot is best)
  • Let us know if any recent changes have been made to the environment in which you are using CDS – Have new network securities been implemented? Are you logging in from a new desktop or laptop computer? 
The more information you can give us, the better our support team can give you a quick and accurate solution. Once you have gathered the necessary information, use one of the following methods to contact our support team.
E-Mail
You can e-mail a question to our support team at SmartOfficesupport@Ebix.com. Turn around time on all e-mail questions is guaranteed to be less than 24 hours. In most cases, e-mail questions receive a reply much more quickly – usually in the same business day. 
Phone In
Support Team Toll-Free Contact Number - (855) 275-3249. After discussing the issue with our support team, a representative may need to view your computer using a tool called Webex. Webex allows our support representatives to view what is happening in CDS and give you the quickest solution.
Our normal business hours are Monday thru Thursday 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST and Friday 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m PST.
